so, my biggie for the winter has been to put a custom graphic on my snowboard...
i used black pencil crayon wetted with water to get the basic outline thus giving me the ability to revise and tweak as a went along...

continued with a sharpie pen to outline it, then using sakura microperm pens for the hatching/shading...

one problem i had was with the sharpies sucking up the dried pencil crayon marks clogging up their nibs forcing me to use more sharpies than i'd had hoped...
i later remedied this by relying on the pencil crayon less and kinda just winging it. not exactly a great move, but no major screwups with it either.

after finishing each section, i brushed on a very expensive stone sealant that creeps into the pores, and then topped it off with a couple layers of johnson and johnson future floor finish.

all in all, i'd say this project was a sucess, and definately will give me bragging rights...
i've always got ppl eyeing my board when i'm on the slopes...
